Aguascalientes, capital of Aguascalientes State, is named for the
nearby hot springs (Aguascalientes meaning "hot waters"). You can enjoy
therapeutic hot springs at the Sport Center & Spa "Balneario Ojo Caliente".
Other attractions include, Plaza del Vestir (clothing mall) where
embroidered and pulled-thread cotton clothing articles can be found. Local
made crafts are leatherwork, artistic ironwork and religious artifacts.
Aguascalientes is an ideal tourist and convention destination,
with balmy semidry weather, blue sky and gorgeous sunsets visitors can count
on almost any day of the year.
