   The Barcelo Ixtapa Beach, one of the top hotels in the area, is situated on El Palmar beach, a paradise-like spot in southwestern Mexico, in the popular tourist destination of Ixtapa. The hotel has 336 rooms including 8 suites. Most of them have sea views, and all of them have a fully equipped bathrooms. Rooms are available for handicapped guests and non-smokers.
   There are four restaurants, one of which specializes in Spanish cuisine, two bars and various other services such as a swimming pool, gymnasium, four tennis courts, a diving shop, a gift and magazine shop, club for children, beauty parlor, massages, medical service, babysitting, private parking, laundry service, travel agency and car rental. The hotel has a convention room with a capacity for 500 people, which can be divided into four conference rooms, fully equipped with screens, an overhead projector and sound equipment. 
   Just five minutes from the hotel, guests will find two 18-hole golf courses--the Golf Palma Real and the Golf Marina Ixtapa--as well as a shopping center, a diving shop and crafts market. 
   The Barcelo Hotels and Resorts entertainment team provides a complete day and nighttime entertainment program for children and adults alike with different shows every day.
