   The Riu Playacar is a modern five-star all inclusive hotel located three kilometers from Playa del Carmen in the luxury development of Playacar directly on the marvelous white sandy beach. It is part of an elegant development which includes a modern 18-hole championship golf course and the famous "Calle Mejicana" or "Mexican Street" which features a variety of boutiques for your shopping pleasure. In addition, there are several restaurants and bars located within the complex offering a variety of choices for your dining pleasure.
   Your all-inclusive privileges include all meals and beverages featuring an exquisite variety of international and local specialties as well as domestic and imported alcoholic beverages, nightly live entertainment ranging from spectacular shows to live music and dancing all night, daily poolside activities for adults and children coordinated by our friendly entertainment supervisors plus the use of the gym, Jacuzzi, two hard surface lighted tennis courts, table tennis, volleyball, trial scuba diving in the pool, kayaks, snorkeling, windsurfing and sailing. Also available for an additional charge is water skiing, banana boats, jet skis, parasailing, scuba diving and massage.

Rooms

The Riu Playacar features 352 rooms in six three-story buildings set within beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. All Standard guest rooms feature two double beds, air conditioning and ceiling fan, color TV via Satellite, telephone, safe deposit box, private bath with shower and hairdryer, stocked mini-bar and balcony. Junior Suites feature all of the Standard room amenities plus living room and walk-in closet as well as a tub and bidet in bathroom.


Standard guest rooms feature two double beds, air conditioning and ceiling fan, color TV via Satellite, telephone, safe deposit box, private bath with shower and hairdryer, stocked mini-bar and balcony or terrace.

El Porche - Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, 7 to 10:30 am, 1 to 3 pm, 6:30 to 10 pm - International & Local Specialties
The main restaurant featuring air conditioning and a non-smoking area serves a wide variety of International and local specialties buffet style. Breakfast served 7 am to 10:30 am, lunch served 1 pm to 3 pm, and there are two dinner seating's at 6:30 pm and at 8:30 pm.


Turquesa - Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, Daily 10:30 am to 11 pm - International Cuisine
Our pool snack-bar Turquesa serves Continental breakfast daily 10:30 am to 12 noon, lunch from 12 noon to 3 pm, snacks from 3 pm to 6 pm and late night snacks from 10 pm to 11 pm. Also features two dinner seating's at 6:30 pm and at 8:30 pm.
