   One&Only Palmilla rests on the tip of the Baja Peninsula where the azure ocean greets the mountainous desert terrain. Where Pacific waters merge with the Sea of Cortez and sandy beaches offer unimpeded views of gray whales rising majestically just beyond the crashing surf. This verdant oasis juxtaposed by desert and sea reflects the gracious style of Old Mexico with its red-tiled roofs, whitewashed walls, and idyllic setting of exquisite fountains, swaying palms, bird of paradise and other tropical bloom.
   The intimate resort was founded in 1956 by Don Abelardo Rodriguez, son of General Abelardo Rodriguez the interim president of Mexico, and has been a favorite retreat for the likes of Hemingway and Harlow. In February 2004 following an $80 million investment, One&Only Palmilla begins a new era as the quintessential embodiment of elegance.

SPA:
   Ancient and modern healing techniques bring body and spirit in harmony with nature at the elegant spa. Guests choose from a comprehensive menu of treatments representing a blend of Mexican, Asian and global accents with many of the therapies based on the ancient beauty, healing and rejuvenation secrets of several cultures. Every detail is an important part of the experience and every sense is indulged, from the rituals that accompany each treatment to the exclusive products using the finest indigenous ingredients, from cactus to flowers.
   Six double luxury villas feature a private, air-conditioned pavilion that opens onto a landscaped open-air garden with whirlpool bath and Mexican day bed, perfect for relaxing in between or after treatments. Six single villas are designed for individual treatments, and the Palmilla Villa is reserved for the most indulgent experiences, including a dry float bed for wraps and treatments.

Rooms

Accommodations are presented in single-story and three-story buildings, or “casas,” encircling the resort grounds along the peninsula’s edge. Perched above the beach, all rooms and suites offer a patio or balcony facing out toward the sea, allowing optimum privacy and unobstructed scenic views.

One Bedroom Suite - Swaying palms surround these ultra-luxurious accommodations, located in Casa Margaritas and Casa Mananitas. Each features a separate parlor with elegant furnishings and a full wet bar. Sweeping waterscape views are visible from sliding glass doors that lead onto a patio or balcony, furnished with a day bed. The bathroom is appointed with a separate shower and tub and twin vanity sinks.

Deluxe One Bedroom Suite - Located in Casa Mananitas, these deluxe suites offer magnificent views of the sun rising over the Sea of Cortez.    Experience fine dining in two new restaurants, including C, created by the legendary Charlie Trotter whose Chicago establishment is considered among the best in America. C's kitchen will provide 24-hour in-room dining service.
   In addition, the palapa-style Agua restaurant offers gourmet “Mexiterranean” cuisine amidst panoramic views of the infinity edge pool and the Sea of Cortez.
