Chapter 52 The Silent Gin
Chapter 52 The Silent Gin
A boy in black carrying a guitar case skateboard stopped in front of a Japanese-style house.
But what's inside this guitar case isn't a guitar, it's air.
Yes, he was out of equipment and had to go to the safe house he used to live in to get some for now. In just a few weeks, a long list of tasks had completely wiped out his already meager equipment inventory.
The gun was there, but not a single bullet was left. The scalpel was useful, but bullets were far more useful.
Because he had lived in this safe house before, he didn't need to knock; he just took the key and went in.
The furnishings inside were exactly the same as when he moved out, but before he could take a closer look, Bai Yexiu, with his sharp ears, faintly heard voices.
Could it be Gin and vodka?
Bai Yexiu followed the sound to the entrance of the basement where weapons were stored.
The basement door was ajar, and through the crack, you could see a man and a woman inside.
The man was dressed in Gin's signature attire. The woman wore a sexy V-neck bodycon dress, her alluring face adorned with exquisite makeup; even in the cluttered and dimly lit basement, her charm was undeniable.
"Gin, are you really that unwelcoming to me?" Vermouth's mature voice rang out.
"I'm asking what you're doing here." It was Gin's deep voice.
Vermouth twirled a bullet in her hand and complained, "Honestly, so much hostility. I just came to let you know that the boss wants to discuss some things with us."
But before Vermouth could finish speaking, Gin suddenly seemed to sense something, abruptly turning his head to face the basement door, his hand already inside his pocket: "Who's there?"
"Huh? There are guests?" Vermouth said with amusement, tossing away the bullet in her hand.
Bai Yexiu, who was eavesdropping behind the door, didn't expect to be discovered so quickly, so he simply pushed the door open and leaned comfortably against the door frame.
"It's me, Gin-chan. You're too nervous." For some reason, Bai Yexiu's tone was similar to Vermouth's, which made Gin frown repeatedly.
Vermouth, beaming with delight, said, "So it's Little Coindus."
Gin glanced at the two who were playing along with each other with a complicated expression, then left the basement without saying a word, his face contorted in a rather interesting way.
Bai Yexiu and Vermouth turned their heads and smiled at each other.
It's so much fun to bully Gin.
……
Four people were gathered around a round table in the living room: two with pleasant expressions, one with a complicated expression, and one with a look of disgust.
“Well, this is all the wine we have left in the house.” Vermouth took a small sip of the wine in front of her. “As expected of a martini.”
Gin frowned and helped the Martini in front of him to the ground.
Bai Yexiu swallowed hard as he looked at the cocktail in front of him. A martini was a cocktail, and cocktails were his favorite, plus he hadn't had one in a long time, so the temptation of this martini was immense.
But before Bai Yexiu could swallow his saliva, Vermouth picked up Bai Yexiu's martini and placed it in front of Gin.
"Don't waste it, there's still one cup left."
"..."
An eerie silence fell over the living room.
A few seconds later, the silence ended with the sound of a glass shattering on the floor.
"Gin-chan, there's hardly any alcohol in the safe house to begin with, so please cherish it a little." Bai Yexiu casually placed the martini in front of the vodka in front of Gin.
"..."
Gin fell silent.
He felt like he was surrounded by Vermouth.
A few seconds later, there was another sound of a glass shattering.
"What exactly do you want to discuss? Hurry up, I'm busy." Gin's tone didn't change, but his furrowed brows told Byakuya Xiu that he was in a bad mood.
Vermouth, unusually quick to end the rambling dialogue, got down to business.
“The Boss said to keep an eye on Sherry.” Vermouth said to Gin, then turned to Bai Yexiu: “You saw her last time you did a mission for Gin, right?”
Seeing that Bai Yexiu nodded, Vermouth continued, "The Miyano sisters have been a bit unruly lately. I'll leave this opportunity to negotiate with them to you, Gin."
Gin grinned like a pervert, his tone as usual: "Understood."
"Perhaps you shouldn't laugh anymore, Qin-chan." Bai Yexiu silently moved his chair a little further away.
Gin is handsome, but every time he smiles he looks like a pervert (?).
“Anything else…” Vermouth pretended to think, “It’s best for Coindu to disguise himself when he goes out in the future.”
"I know, I already said that..." Bai Yexiu lazily slumped back onto the table.
He didn't like disguises very much because not everyone likes having a stuffy disguise prop on their face all day long.
"As soon as the FBI arrived, those people all rushed over here like little pets that had caught a whiff of a scent," Vermouth said jokingly, tossing her hair.
Upon hearing this, smiles appeared on the faces of the group.
Bai Yexiu glanced at Vodka, who was grinning, and couldn't help but laugh again.
Vodka's goofy smile contrasted sharply with his clothes and sunglasses. Despite being dressed like a villain, he had a goofy, silly smile.
Seeing Cointreau's reaction, Vodka's smile vanished, and he looked at him with a puzzled expression.
“Alright,” Gin said, his smile fading as he looked at Vermouth. “Is there anything else?”
Vermouth shook her head, holding the empty wine glass.
Gin stood up and was about to leave when he felt someone tugging at his clothes. Looking down, he saw that it was Byakuya Xiu who had grabbed his clothes.
"Could you please sweep up the broken glass?" Bai Yexiu said obediently.
"..."
"And mop the floor too," Bai Yexiu said, flashing a bright (and annoying) smile.
"..."
Gin stood still. He had lost count of how many times he had been silent today.
A moment later, Gin and Vodka emerged from the safe house with complicated expressions.
I can't stay in this place with Vermouth and Cointreau for even a second longer.
