Chapter 100 The Problem of Parents
Chapter 100 The Problem of Parents
"Qiong, why...why did you help me?"
What a stupid question! Should we help Otto instead of Yae Sakura?
"Secretary Yae, we've fought side-by-side, haven't we? I don't want you to be shot dead by the Destiny leader for no reason. Besides, you need a reason to harm others, but do you need a reason to help them?"
"Well said! Standing up for your friends, that's so Kaslana!"
"Kiana, don't hit me so hard, you're going to kill me!"
"is that so……"
Qiong's words made some sense, but Yae Sakura had another guess in her mind.
Does this child like her?
The hand he held tightly when they first met, the advice he took to let go of the pseudo-Herrscher (though it didn't work out), and the many times he saved her life...
But, after all, I am...
"Don't even think about it, Karen is dead!"
"Shut up!"
Having lived with her for many years, Higomaru could easily guess what Yae Sakura was thinking.
Yes, Kallen is dead. Perhaps I should let go? But regardless of whether I can let go of the past, being with Sora or anyone else is impossible.
"That's right, their lifespans are too short. The only one who can accompany you to the end is me—and maybe the leader of the Anti-Entropy Alliance?"
"A quasi-Herrscher rescued a pseudo-Herrscher from the clutches of the Archbishop of Schicksal and the strongest Valkyrie, what's so special about that...?"
Yae Sakura & Hijamaru:!
Are there similar ones?
"Headmaster, are you referring to Qiong?"
"Yes, he has a core in his chest, similar to yours. What, you didn't know? Didn't Walter tell you?"

In any case, Theresa has included Baiji in the list of reliable personnel.
Regardless of the reason, the fact that she stayed in the hospital for half a day for her colleague shows that Bai Ji is reliable!
However, the fact that fake Stigmata could be created gave Theresa some even bolder ideas.
Don't get me wrong, she wasn't trying to conduct experiments like Otto; she simply wanted to help people.
"Teacher Bai, this is freshly squeezed bitter melon juice. It's good for your health."
Bai Ji frowned. Actually, he didn't really like bitter melon either. Oh well, it was his boss's good intention, so he forced himself to drink it.
"You drank it all? Looks like you really enjoyed it! Come on, let me refill your glass!"
"No need for that, Principal. We need to get down to business. You must have something important to tell me."
Bai Ji calmly pushed the cup to the furthest point from him.
"That's right, you and Qiong can condense a Holy Mark together, right? Don't misunderstand, I didn't mean to force you to condense a Holy Mark to improve your strength or to conduct research!"
Fearing that Baiji might misunderstand, Theresa offered him another glass of bitter melon juice in a conciliatory manner.
Baiji: ...
After watching Bai Ji down his drink in one gulp, Theresa couldn't wait to continue her story.
"Did you know that most Valkyries didn't actually possess the power to fight the Honkai at the beginning..."
"Of course I know that."
Bai Ji already knew that Destiny could mass-produce Valkyries using Stigmata. Although Bai Ji vaguely guessed that Destiny's method of mass-producing Valkyries might have side effects, he had never been able to confirm it, and he hadn't seriously asked about it.
"Well, that's good. Aside from a few born with innate power in their bloodline, most Valkyries have undergone 'artificial Stigmata' modifications. However, this modification is imperfect, and the price of undergoing it is a significantly shortened lifespan… But the Science Department's research has discovered that if natural Stigmata are transplanted, the imperfect circuits can be repaired, and even the Valkyrie's life can be saved!"
"Headmaster."
Bai Ji pushed the cup far away again; he really didn't want to drink anymore.
"I am powerless to help in this matter. Even if I were to exert all my efforts to maintain the 'fake' stigmata, it would only last for a week at most. And even if it were useful, I'm afraid it wouldn't be able to save the Valkyrie's life."
After saying this, Bai Ji prepared to take his leave. It wasn't that he was angry, it was just…
He was afraid Theresa would give him bitter melon juice again.
"Don't go! Have a couple of drinks before you go back to your shift!"
Two more cups? Baiji is going even faster now.
"Himeko..."
Although she was mentally prepared to be rejected, Theresa was still disappointed.
I'll ask Sora for a gift later.
After all, Himeko may only have one year left to live, so they need to act quickly.
If the so-called "fake" stigmata is truly useless, Theresa can only inquire about the legendary "Nine Netherworlds".
Make sure to find out as soon as possible, and it would be best to go and investigate during the summer vacation.
-----------
"Cocolia's attack on St. Freya was..."
"Uncle Walter, what are you doing?"
"Schedule a timetable."
Walter Young, who was forced by Theresa to take a paid week off, didn't have any objections. It was just a matter of packing his bags, taking a plane back to the North American headquarters, and staying there for a few days.
Just don't get caught by my dear sister Ai Yin, otherwise I'll have to work overtime.
Hilarious! He's Walter Yang, the one who foresaw the endless mess that would ensue after the merger of Anti-Entropy and Schicksal, and promptly resigned to work on animation! Expecting him to focus his energy on handling a bunch of big and small matters? Leave that to Theresa, the Schicksal bishop!
Of course, that's for Einstein now.
However, he wasn't completely idle; at this moment, he was taking care of little Coralie.
Another issue is the need to create a specific timeline. For some reason, the third Honkai Impact 3rd occurred a few days earlier (although it might be a result of interference). Welt believes that the specific times should be listed out, otherwise, history could be altered if things go wrong.
For example, if Tesla and the others stormed Cocolia's stronghold and rescued Little Joe, what if they had arrived too early or too late? Their son might have been lost! This kind of thing has to be precise down to the hour!
Similarly, we cannot interfere with what Einstein originally intended to do, otherwise things might change.
After thinking it over, all I can do is take care of the kids and draw comics!
"Uncle Walter, I have a question."
Little Coralie hasn't yet learned to fake a blank expression and hide her emotions like that certain Dr. Chicken-Headed Doctor; all her thoughts are written on her face.
"What is it?"
Walter gave a kind smile.
"Why am I not your daughter or Dr. Red's daughter, but my mother's daughter?"
Young Coralie was very intelligent. She rarely dwelled on things like "why her biological parents didn't want her." She was already very fortunate to have two PhDs, Dr. Red and Dr. Blue, and her bespectacled uncle as family. But she still wanted to know the answer.
"Oh, so that's what it was about."
Old Yang patted the little dog-headed strategist's head and put down his pen.
Although the matter was finally resolved at Coralie's birthday party when they were all present, it probably wouldn't make any difference now.
"Because Ain beat us at rock-paper-scissors."
Coralie: ?
"Doesn't it seem a bit hasty?"
Coralie nodded unconsciously.
"That's because the three of us agreed that only the luckiest person would be qualified to be your parents."
In other words, if Tesla or he had won back then, Joe's guardian might have had to be changed later...
"Alliance Leader, we have just received a message from Cocolia: she requests that we launch a joint attack on the Far East Branch of Fate."
Walter put Coralie down and adjusted his glasses.
"How do you plan to reply?"
"Of course, it's either a refusal or no reply, but ultimately it's up to you, the leader, to decide—but Dr. Tesla and I both prefer not to reply."
"Then let's not reply, Ai Yin."
Try not to interfere; let the world operate as it is known.

Why not just collect 100 chapters...? Okay, I can't sleep in the middle of the night, so I'll get up and collect them!
This is now a three-digit chapter count. To be honest, I initially only tried updating daily because someone said I wasn't updating often enough, and before I knew it, I'd reached today...
Let me say a few words. I've been reading everyone's comments, and most of the criticisms I received were complaints about the protagonist, Sora, being too weak. Unfortunately, the author isn't a pure supporter of wish-fulfillment stories, so all I can say is that they're revising it (and maybe they'll just stop revising it altogether).
The subsequent developments are somewhat predictable, but the Nine Netherworld arc retconned so much that I've decided to switch to the manga...
We've reached chapter 100! Has this book, written on a whim, brought you any joy? If so, please give it a rating!
If you didn't... if you didn't even make it this far, please rate it! Six stars really feels a bit low!
