Chapter 994 - 992 Omni Treasure Vault
"Exactly!" Mrs. Winters said, rising from her seat and gracefully making her way over to Edison. She crouched down beside him, her movements gentle and careful. "Little Edison, would you allow Auntie to carry you and sit you on my lap?" she asked.
Ever since having Duke, she hadn’t had any other children, and she had longed for a grandson. But with Kisha and Duke so busy, and the world plunged into this apocalypse, she knew now wasn’t the right time to push for it. Still, looking at Edison, she felt a warm longing and wanted to pour some of that affection into him instead.
Seeing the kind-looking woman in front of him, Edison felt reassured and nodded gently. He then glanced at Kisha, as if asking for her approval. When Kisha nodded, Edison lifted both arms, waiting to be carried. Mrs. Winters smiled and effortlessly scooped him up.
Edison was already a big boy, a little heavy, but it was no trouble for her. Since awakening her ability, her physical stats had improved significantly, and after so many weeks of training and growth, carrying a child was effortless. Even the slow wear of age on her back seemed reversed, as if she had returned to her younger self.
"What a good child..." Mrs. Winters beamed as she carried Edison back to her seat. Edison buried his face in her shoulder, and Kisha couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight. Her earlier worries had long been carried away by the wind as she watched him, seeming just like a normal kid again.
This approach would help Edison assimilate with his surroundings. Because the more he was treated as a "special" child, the more he would feel different from his peers, something that could affect his mentality and even lead to isolation. Kisha understood that this was her mother-in-law’s way of helping Edison, and she appreciated it deeply.
Now, all that remained was to inform Daisy and ask her opinion about whether Edison could follow her around. It felt slightly like passing the responsibility onto Daisy, but it was for the best: having Edison by another child’s side would help him relax and enjoy himself. After all, every day with Daisy was like an adventure, with her moving through her territory as enthusiastically as Dora exploring a new world.
Once Daisy had Edison following her, his mind would surely be consumed by her boundless energy. Slowly, he might begin to open up to the world beyond himself, noticing its beauty and learning to treat even the smallest things as an adventure. Just imagining it made Kisha smile from ear to ear.
Using her telekinesis, she lifted the strawberry yogurt milk Edison had forgotten on the table and let it float closer to Edison. When Edison saw the carton hovering in the air, his eyes sparkled once again, filled with delight and curiosity.
He reached for the yogurt drink, and Kisha let his mind wander over it for a moment as she turned her thoughts to the real reason she had come to see her mother-in-law.
"Mom, actually, I came to ask for your advice and maybe a favor as well," Kisha said, her tone turning slightly shy. "It’s about a brand design. You grew up in a wealthy family and have such a creative mind, so I was wondering if you might have a better idea for creating a brand image for me."
"Oh?" Mrs. Winters’ eyes lit up immediately. "Are you opening a store? What are you planning to sell? What’s the motto, and who are your target customers?" she asked in one breath, clearly intrigued.
"Um... are those important?" Kisha asked hesitantly. She wasn’t sure whether she should let her mother-in-law in on the secret of the system, and even Duke didn’t know that much.
Besides, the Sales Channel’s customer base spanned people from different worlds and realms, something that would be difficult to explain. The thought clearly troubled her, and her expression grew conflicted.
"Kind of," Mrs. Winters replied with a gentle smile, a knowing glint flickering in her eyes. "When a designer creates a brand, its logo, visual style, even how the store’s name is written, everything affects how that brand is interpreted and built. It’s how your image resonates with customers. When they see it, they should immediately think of you, your products, and what you stand for."
She paused briefly before continuing, her voice reassuring. "It’s fine if you don’t want to go into too much detail. But at the very least, I need to know the store’s motto and the kind of products you sell, don’t I? As for your target customers, you can simply tell me whether you’re aiming for low- to middle-range buyers or the high-end market. Any other information you’re willing to share would help give me better inspiration and insight, so I can design a brand that truly fits your store."
Hearing this, Kisha fell into deep contemplation. Then, as realization dawned on her, the bubble burst.
"Mom... are you saying you’re accepting my request?" Kisha’s eyes lit up, a bright smile blooming across her face.
"Of course!" Mrs. Winters replied without hesitation. "You call me Mother, and to me, you’re like a daughter. How could I not help you?" She added with a teasing lilt, "Besides, didn’t you just compliment my creativity and upbringing? How could I possibly turn down, or disappoint, my beautiful, hardworking daughter-in-law?"
She watched Kisha’s excitement with fond amusement, unable to stop herself from smiling along. Seeing Kisha’s genuine happiness warmed her heart; she hadn’t realized her daughter-in-law was so easy to please. In that moment, she couldn’t help but feel even happier for her son.
"Thank you, Mom..." Kisha smiled sweetly, a hint of coquettish warmth in her voice, before continuing. "My shop’s motto is simple, and that is high price represents high quality, exactly what the customer pays for. I want to emphasize that all my products are top-tier in both quality and effectiveness. Even if they’re expensive, customers will receive value they can’t easily find elsewhere."
She took a breath, growing more confident as she spoke. "As for my customers, I’m aiming for the high-end market, people who are willing and able to spend. I want the brand to feel simple yet elegant, something easy to remember. I don’t like overly intricate designs; they may look visually impressive, but they’re often hard to recall."
"As for what I’m selling," she continued, "you’ve already tried some of it. Like the Scarlet Honey, with its remarkable effects, which could help purify spiritual energy and strengthen one’s foundation. There’s also the Stamina Booster, Spiritual Spring Water, and various Spiritual Fruits. I’m about to release new products in the Supply Center as well, including a Healing Pill that could save warriors’ lives during missions. And I’ll continue creating more in the future."
Kisha explained her vision carefully, revealing only what was necessary. Certain details, like where the shop was located and the true nature of her business, remained unspoken. She would leave those to her mother-in-law’s imagination.
"Hm. That’s more than enough," Mrs. Winters said thoughtfully, yet with an air of ease. "Just from this, I already have a few ideas in mind. Let me sketch some designs for you, and you can choose whichever one you like."
She spoke as if it were the simplest thing in the world, as though it required no effort at all.
Kisha, however, was already stunned. "Right now?" she asked, eyes widening. "Don’t you need more time to think it through?"
"No need," Mrs. Winters replied lightly. "I’ve attended countless high-class banquets, company meetings, and client negotiations. I’ve seen more brand identities and designs than I can remember, along with the stories and mottos behind them. Creating something new that suits your taste won’t be difficult, especially since you prefer a simple yet elegant style. That just happens to be my forte, if you ask me."
She grinned at the last words, clearly indulging in a little boast, as if telling Kisha to simply wait and be amazed.
Kisha could only stare, her eyes still wide in disbelief, as Mrs. Winters gently set Edison down beside her. She then stood, walked to her desk, and picked up a pen and sketchpad before returning to her seat. This time, she didn’t pull Edison onto her lap again, instead focusing fully as she began to sketch.
Mrs. Winters’ hand moved swiftly across the page, as if her ideas were endless. One sketch followed another, then another, until she turned to a new page, and then yet another. Before long, four pages were filled with designs. Each one looked like a complete storefront sign, featuring elegant calligraphy and even sample store names.
Only then did Kisha realize something, and that was she hadn’t actually named her store yet. Until now, it had merely been identified by her Sales Channel’s merchant number.
As the realization struck her, a name surfaced in her mind.
Omni Treasure Vault.
A name that represented a true general store, a one-stop shop that held everything within.
